Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ukata hails from Etaetom Ward, Afafanyi Community in Cross River State, Nigeria, where he was raised with strong Christian values, discipline, and a deep commitment to education.
He attended PCN 1 Primary School, Afafanyi, St. Francis Xavier's Primary School, Obubra, Edanafa Secondary School, Ediba, and Regina Pacis Modern Secondary School, Ofumbongha.
Responding to God's call, he entered the Congregation of the Claretian Missionary Fathers (CMF), where he underwent over fourteen years of intellectual, spiritual, human, and pastoral formation.
He was ordained a Catholic Priest of the Claretian Missionary Fathers and began a life dedicated to pastoral ministry, teaching, research, preaching, retreats, and evangelization.
Today, he continues serving the Church through priestly ministry, academic leadership, writing, retreat facilitation, and pastoral care, while inspiring future generations through education and faith.
The Claretian formation journey equipped Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ukata with a rich combination of spiritual maturity, academic excellence, missionary zeal, and pastoral leadership.
Throughout his years of formation, he embraced rigorous philosophical and theological studies, community life, missionary spirituality, human development, and practical pastoral experience, preparing him for lifelong service to the Church.

Claretian Missionary Fathers
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ukata's vocation extends beyond the altar, embracing teaching, research, writing, retreat ministry, leadership, and the formation of future Church leaders.
Ordained in 2014, he has faithfully served the Catholic Church through pastoral ministry, sacramental life, preaching, retreats, missions, and spiritual direction.
Lectured in Philosophy and Anthropology at the Claretian Institute of Philosophy and the Seat of Wisdom Seminary, forming future priests and scholars.
Author of numerous scholarly works, 27 published books, research articles, and former Editor-in-Chief of Maryland Studies.
Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ukata currently serves as the Parish Priest of St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Asase, North Bank, Makurdi, where he provides pastoral leadership, celebrates the sacraments, offers spiritual guidance, and strengthens parish life.
He also serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Augustinian Institute of Philosophy, teaching, researching, mentoring students, and contributing to Catholic intellectual formation.
